Outlook benötigt ein Standard-Gateway, wenn man eine RPC-Verbindung zum Exchange-Server aufbauen will.

Möchte man kein Gateway konfigurieren, kann man einen Registry-Key setzen, der die Konfiguration des Standardgateways unnötig macht.

Outlook 2007

1. Click Start, click Run, type regedit in the Open box, and then click OK.
2. Locate and then click the following subkey:
   HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Outlook\RPC
3. On the Edit menu, point to New, and then click DWORD Value.
4. Type DefConnectOpts, and then press ENTER.
5. Right-click DefConnectOpts, and then click Modify.
6. In the Value data box, type 0, and then click OK.
7. Exit Registry Editor.

Outlook 2010

1. Click Start, click Run, type regedit in the Open box, and then click OK.
2. Locate and then click the following subkey:
   HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\14.0\Outlook\RPC
3. On the Edit menu, point to New, and then click DWORD Value.
4. Type DefConnectOpts, and then press ENTER.
5. Right-click DefConnectOpts, and then click Modify.
6. In the Value data box, type 0, and then click OK.
7. Exit Registry Editor
